Why Your Location Affects How You Get Paid

A payment method that works for an author in the US, Canada, or the UK may not be available — or may not work the same way — for an author living in the Caribbean.

There may also be another company in the payment journey. Amazon permits eligible KDP publishers to use certain participating Payment Service Providers, subject to its requirements.

So consider the whole path: book sale → platform → payment method → author.

• Are those methods available to you?
